Laura Hernandez is a Colombian professional photographer based in Bogotá D.C. 

She fell in love with photography at the very young age of 10 and she immediately knew that it was going to play a huge role in her life, slowly becoming a true passion and later on her full time job.

He studied photography in 2013 and then entered university (Universidad Central de Bogotá) to study advertising, to connect the art of photography with the ability to give it meaning and purpose; this led her to work as a photographer for various advertising agencies, learning new techniques and developing her vision and creativity for the next six years of her career (2015-2020).

During the difficult times of the Covid-19 pandemic, Laura had time to expand her horizons as an artist and stepped away from advertising for a more personal touch to her work, capturing stories of real people through her lens and leaning more towards a type of documentary and social photography.

​

Living in the very artistic and creative environment of Bogotá, Laura met different artists and was open to collaborative projects where photography, painting, plastic arts and graffiti became part of a collective creative effort, with the purpose of Always evolve your photographic style and take it to the next level every time.

 

Right now he is focusing on his own series of portraits that will be released in the course of this year 2024.
